Welcome to

The Fjords and Dunedin
After Tasmania, we crossed to New Zealand and cruised the fjords on the west coast. We were lucky that in the morning it was misty and mysterious but by the time we left the sun had come out and everything was bright and sunny.

Our first stop on the East Coast of NZ was Dunedin, where we took argo vehicles for a scenic (and muddy) ride.
We had an observer along the way (the people who did the tour also owned a sheep farm). This has to be one of the most beautiful sheep farms we have ever seen.
On one of our stops, we saw some furred seals. It was Fall in New Zealand so the spring pups were nearing the end of their nursing days, but that didn't stop this one.
Railroad station in Dunedin is the second most photographed spot in Australasia (only topped by the Sydney Opera House). The inside is decorated in the ornate Victorian style.
St. Paul's Cathedral in Dunedin, a lovely Gothic Church. Pat loves stained glass windows. The backgrounds of the scenes uses New Zealand scenery like mountains and homesteads.
There are even native animals on some windows. We visited the Cadbury factory and shoppe and bought several giant bars.
Civic center in Dunedin. Although now closed, at one time this was the smallest library in Australasia.
