We were welcomed by a Berber family and invited in for breakfast.

The house was unexpectedly large with lovely views of the valley.
As in most houses, there was a selection of tagine pots.
Pottery shops were common in this area and reminded Pat of descriptions of ancient Roman towns.
We were invited to their living room for breakfast.
Making mint tea was a ceremony. The mint was fresh and our guide had to prevent the hostess from adding so much sugar that it became syrup, which is the way the locals prefer it.

The food--homemade flatbread, crepes, butter, honey, and olive oil, was simple but absolutely delicious. | Outside the home the vendors were busy. |
